MEISun, established in September 2025, is the operating legal entity authorized to use the renowned trade name and mark Millennium Energy Industries (MEI)—a brand with more than 19 years of experience delivering hundreds of large-scale solar solutions across the MENA region and internationally, including projects in Chile, the United States, and Cyprus. MEISun is driven by the same management, expertise, and technical heritage that built MEI’s distinguished legacy.
MEI is a leading international turnkey solar solutions provider. Our vision is to advance the utilization of solar energy as a primary energy source that is economically reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective. We deliver comprehensive turnkey solutions—including solar heating, cooling, steam, and power generation (PV and CSP)—serving industrial, commercial, and large residential clients.
Our largest reference project demonstrates MEI’s capabilities: the successful engineering and implementation of the world’s largest rooftop thermal solar district heating installation (25 MWth) at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This landmark achievement earned MEI the Global District Energy Climate Award in 2012.
The name MEISun is inspired by the ancient Arabic word “Meisan,” which refers to a brightly shining star. Beyond incorporating the MEISolar identity, the name symbolizes continued strength, innovation, and leadership under a distinctive new brand.
